Platinum End Anime Reveals Details of First Blu-ray/DVD
On the official site for the anime adaptation of the manga written by Takeshi Obata and illustrated by Tsugumi Ohba, Platinum End, the cover and details of the first Compilation Blu-ray/DVD package were published, in addition to the schedule of physical releases that once again confirms that the series will have a total of twenty-four episodes.

Package 1 (episodes 1 to 6) – January 19, 2022.
Package 2 (episodes 7 to 12) – March 16, 2022.
Package 3 (episodes 13 to 18) – May 18, 2022.
Package 4 (episodes 19 to 14) – July 20, 2022.
Platinum End
The first Blu-ray/DVD package will be released on January 19, 2022 and will include the first to sixth episodes of this adaptation. The Blu-ray version will be priced at 19,800 yen (about 175 US dollars), while the DVD version will be priced at 18,150 yen (160 US dollars). Among the benefits are a special fifty-page booklet with production material and illustrations, interviews with the production team and voice cast and other items.

The series is confirmed with twenty-four episodes and will cover the entirety of the original work, with Crunchyroll in charge of its distribution in the West. For their part, Obata and Ohba began publishing the manga in Shueisha's Jump SQ magazine in November 2015, and finalized it in January 2021. The duo also authored the manga Death Note, which was published in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine between December 2003 and May 2006.

Production team
Hideya Takahashi (Strike Witches: Road to Berlin, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind) directs the first half of the anime at Signal.MD Studios. While Kazuchika Kise (Ghost in the Shell Arise, Ghost in the Shell: The New Movie) is in charge of directing the second half.
Kouji Oudate (No Game No Life) is in charge of character design.
Shinichi Inotsume (Persona 5: The Animation, Hayate no Gotoku!, Gangsta) is in charge of writing and supervising the scripts.
Masahiro Tokuda (Cestvs: The Roman Fighter, Last Hope) is in charge of composing the soundtrack.

Platinum End Synopsis
After the death of his parents, the young Mirai Kakehashi is left in the care of his abusive relatives. Since then, he has become gloomy and depressed, leading him to attempt suicide on the night of his high school graduation. However, he is saved by a pure white girl named Nasse who presents herself as a guardian angel who wishes to give him happiness by granting him supernatural powers and the opportunity to become the new god of the world. To win the position, he must defeat the other twelve candidates to become deities within the next 999 days. Soon, Mirai begins a struggle to survive when a terrifying battle-royale breaks out between himself and the candidates seeking to gain absolute power over the world.
